American Heart Heroes

Kids with cardiovascular disease aren’t always able to just be kids. Their lives include medication, hospital stays and surgery and many spend more time in the physician’s office than just doing ‘kid stuff’. Their families make many sacrifices for the health of the kids, and often have little or no support network when facing daily challenges.

The American Heart Association provides an exciting opportunity to enable these children and their families to enjoy swimming, boating, laughing, fishing, arts and crafts, silliness, friendship that we all need. The association sponsors the American Heart Heroes program – a year-round opportunity for fun, friendship, family support and even the opportunity to go camping!

Support the American Heart Heroes Program
It costs well over $1000 per camper or family to attend camp, but no child’s family ever pays for this privilege. Thanks to corporate and individual sponsorships, The American Heart Association has been able to send over 1,500 kids and families to camp and family weekend retreats since 1996. Your generous support will help us continue to provide this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to Florida and Puerto Rico’s children with cardiovascular disease.
