The Children's Home Society of Florida (CHS) is committed to "helping turn lives around" as it redirects a teen's troubled life onto a new path of hope, transforms a mother suffering from drug addiction to become a productive parent, provides a safe harbor for a child suffering from abuse and reverses crisis situations so lives are changed for the better. CHS has a long and rich legacy as Florida's oldest non-profit provider of services to children and families. In 2002, CHS marked an important milestone by celebrating 100 years of distinguished service and excellence. Established in 1902 as a Jacksonville orphanage, CHS has dramatically expanded its mission as a statewide multi-service agency. Today, CHS provides Florida families with a unique spectrum of social services, including foster care, adoption, child abuse prevention, emergency shelters, group homes, case management, and treatment for developmentally disabled children. CHS is a nationally accredited agency, making a difference in the lives of nearly 100,000 Florida children and families each year. With headquarters in Winter Park, FL, CHS services are offered in more than 204 locations by more than 1,900 staff members dedicated to providing child-focused, family-centered care White Sands Jeep Club charity is the Pensacola based CHS or Western Division of CHS
