Welcomed Visitors:

Treasurer's Report:

Treasurer's Report was accepted.

Reviewed minutes from previous meeting.

Old Business:
Jay mentioned that this was his last day sitting at the front table, so Ed let Jay know what the rest were thinking "SHUT UP JAY!"

The car wash has been moved to the 12th of July at Sam's Auto Center 420 Airport Blvd. There was to much going on for the 28th. Edit: It rained all day anyways.

Whiting Field is having their 50th anniversary coming up. Possibility of some club participation. Tim is going to look into it further.

Nancy informed the club that she had been saying NO to Jay for the last 9 years. That explains a few things.

Chris Gahimer brought up personalized license plate frames will be available through our sticker manufacturer. Estimated price of $13-$15 each. For more info contact Chris.

The club social roster is up to date, so Ron will be providing that to club members. Ron will provide updated copies in the future, but not after every change.

Club Nominations and Elections were held for the Club Committee. Your new committee taking over 1 July is:
* Chairman - Ed Stork
* Vice-Chairman - Craig Morris
* Secretary - Ron Seegert
* Treasurer - Mike Walter

The club website was discussed with a couple of possibilities. There are issues about pictures of the club off road being used by the rangers as ammunition about the club. The discussion was tabled until a later date. Ron to provide a detailed breakdown of all possibilities for the club to think about.

Ron provided a CD of all the pictures of club rides that he has to date. If anyone has digital pictures that you have taken on the trail please make a copy of them if possible and give to Ron. He will compile and make CD's for everyone once he has a full disk to burn.

New members were voted in:
* Tom & Glinda Leonard (82 CJ-7). The vote was pretty much swayed by the statement, "Anyone older than me is welcome in the club." Welcome to the club Tom & Glinda.
* Cooper & Tiffany Saunders (84 XJ). After some debate about Cooper complaining about water rusting his XJ, bushes scratching it and the fact that Tom blew the doors off of it going through Milton we let him in. Welcome to the club Cooper & Tiffany.

July Events:
4th of July - Club Anniversary bash at Quietwater Beach. Paul Woodyard - Lead. It looked like it would be really nasty all day long. Paul and Norm arrived at the beach at 5:30 and couldn't find a single pavilion. We still made the best of it. Lots of people didn't show up because they thought it was raining all day long. We actually only suffered through 2 quick rains. Originally it was bring your own food, but Norm "Cooky" Kressler brought enough to feed a small army. Paul put his onboard air to good use by blowing up beach toys for plenty of kids that were enjoying the beach that day. During one of the rain storms Paul mentioned that he needed to roll the windows up on his jeep, so Ed obliged by putting his doors on Paul's jeep and rolling up the windows. See pictures. Jimbo stopped by during one of his beach patrols and mentioned that he would assist us next year with the requirements to be able to get a pavilion early. Jay did stop in to show us his rainbow umbrella. Best thing was at the end of the night the long drive home. Opps, that would be the awesome fireworks display. The barge was parked right off the beach from us for a wonderful show.

19th of July - Milton Ride. Mike Rios - Lead. Tom Leonard - Co-lead. Good ride behind the Jail house. Southern Style Off-Road came to show us up. Not very impressive, since it didn't happen. They did trailer in some impressive off-road beasts. Mike "Foot on the Floor" Rios was the first to once again break his front axle trying to claw his way out of a pit. Ron and Paul hooked up the winches and pulled him up to safety. But not to be outdone by his older brother, Jay decided later in the day to bash in the other rear corner that he didn't get the weekend before. Glad he owns a body shop. It was noted that we need to watch and make certain that we are not blocking the trails when we stop for a while.

26th of July - Car Wash at Don Dawson Jeep. After a little confusion as to starting at 9 vice 10 like a lot of people though, it was an enjoying day. If the weather had been nicer we probably would have done more business. The customers enjoyed the fact that we had a vacuum cleaner out and were actually doing interiors. Lots of club participation. Special thanks to the kids for holding up the signs and bringing in business. Don Dawson provided us with a covered area to wash cars in and we were able to show them what Jeeps could do with the clubs articulation ramp.

New Business:
The Required/ Recommended equipment list was discussed. Inputs and changes should be forwarded to Ron Seegert so that he can compile the list for review again at next meeting.

"Shut up Chris!"
"Shut up Jay!" (2nd)

Nothing to report from ESAR, it appears to have become a dropped issue with them about club participation in the event of an emergency.

Reminder that Whiting Field was having their 50th anniversary coming up. Tim Schelle was to provide further information. Tim where were you???

The club website was discussed with the following possibilities.
1. Keep it as a free site with limited information and upgrades
2. Purchase a domain and build a big website, with minutes and pictures only accessible by members. Cost about $90.
The motion was made and carried for the purchase of a White Sands Jeep Club domain and building the larger site.

Future plans to schedule another car wash this time possibly in Milton around Mid-September. To be planned at next meeting.

Spy photos of the New Stinger were passed around, Jay seemed rather upset that these got out. Don't know why, lots of people though the Yellow Chevy Tracker was cute, matched his umbrella.
