Welcomed Visitors:

Treasurer's Report:
Ed reported that our current bank account was $2,487.23. We still needed to pay Ronald McDonald House their money that we raised last year for them.

Reviewed minutes from previous meeting.

Old Business:
Don't forget that Dues are due. $25 for all members, and if you have not paid already you get to throw in the $5 late charge for $30 now.

Glinda made the comment that club rides should be a club event and that White Sands Jeep Club should not be a club of convenience for people. If you are one of those people make a decision.

A few upcoming events to plan for in September:
A sonic day sometime during the month to be planned by Lamar. Tentative location of Milton or tiger point.
10-12 September a ride to Gray Rock ORV park in Mt. Olive, AL. Mike Rios and Dwayne Morris are lead on this one. Cost is $75 per vehicle for the weekend (minimum of $750 to rent park) An additional fee of $100 is required for one portalet and wash station (which will be equally divided between the parties attending) A $25 refundable deposit is required for each primitive campsite. Primitive camping is $3. The park will be open at 8am Saturday morning and close at 6pm Sunday evening. The event will not be limited to jeeps, anyone can attend. They will be opening the park for us to pull in on Friday. If you are interested in the ride we will require half of the cost up front (non-refundable). As voted the club will be buying the meat for a planned cookout.

Clubs Fall Camping trip - please bring ideas of locations for the next meeting. The club has done them at hurricane lake, Atmore, AL to name a few in the past.

Once again we need to watch our language on the ride a visitor complained about the foul language and departed the ride because of it. This is not what we should be showing the community as an organization. Please police your language on the trail and at the meetings.

The motion was raised and carried for the club to remain at Halls seafood for the meeting place.

Quote of the Night by Mike "I will never be all together there!"

August Events:
21 Aug - Milton Ride. Dwayne Morris lead. 9 Jeeps attended (5 members, 4 visitor). 1 visitor even came all the way from Linhaven, FL to ride. It was a good ride with not a whole lot of mud or breakage. We won't mention our one visitor that drove into a seemingly little mud puddle, promptly sank his scrambler and had the stick shift come apart on him all at the same time. Gary just had a bad moment. Dwayne was impressive climbing into a deep crevice and working his way out. Though watching him explain the cracked windshield was hilarious. The tree root did what Dwayne, but you weren't on your side.

New Business:
The Club camping trip will be in October 1st-3rd at Claud D. Kelly State Park. North of Atmore. Everything will be finalized at the September Meeting.

New members were voted in, welcome to the club:
* Shane Place (77 CJ-7) was voted in as a new member. Shane made it well know 2 meetings ago that he would be eligible the next meeting for membership and that the club would definitely vote him in. He was so absolutely confident that we would bend to his will. Well will or not, you HAVE TO SHOW UP to be voted in. Welcome to the club.

If anyone has pictures of Tom W. on his side he would like copies of them, I think he's still trying to figure out how it happened. Either that or no one believes him.

28 Aug - Charity Car Wash. Tom Leonard lead. Event will be at Milton Dodge/ Jeep. Meet at 9:00 start washing at 10:00
