Old Business:
Canoe Trip is down to about $13 a tube. Canoes/ Kayak’s are a little bit more. We will discuss this again next meeting for a September event. Dwayne will get some more information.

Thoughts about starting our own 4x4/ Jeep car show / swap meet. Gary Hirman and Tom Leonard to look at trying to set something up as an annual thing. Looking into times, location, etc…

Last weekend of October (27-29) there will be a 4wd trip up to Morris Mountain. Between Birmingham and Atlanta. Current price is $40 per vehicle. This is primitive camping, but there are some good motels with in about 25miles. There will be no ATV’s. Dwayne (994-9286) has more information. Or check out website www.morrismountain.orv.com.

Lamar is still setting up a Sonic night. Says he has 6 more months to complete it. (only took him 18 months to actually install his snorkel.)

August Events:
12 Aug – Skavan point ride. Good ride. We even decided that a stray dog should have a home so Adventure Bob too him home. We had the chance to have some aerial photos taken, they turned out great. I’m still waiting to get the information for the website, but Mark Lamon has the pictures and information for us. Not too much damage on this trip, though a Rubicon did manage to damage his license plate holder. Rumor has it there was a little bit of weeping involved.

We decided to close the post office box since all we are getting is junk mail to it.

Chris needed to step down at the vice chairman, and Tom Leonard was nice enough to take on the reigns of the exalted position. He said he would at least show up to the meetings.

Congratulations to Damian and Mindy for welcoming a new Jeeper into the family, “Poppy”. Mother is doing fine

September Events:
9th – Canoe trip at Bob’s Canoes. Tubes $14, cooler tube $6 extra. Cayak or canoe 1 man $22, canoe’s $18/ person. Dwayne morris has more information. Meet at 9:30 at bob’s or at the Burger King in Milton at 8:30, roll at 9:00.
