Treasurer's Report was reviewed

Reviewed minutes from previous meeting.

Old Business:
New business cards ideas were sent around. Nobody seemed to care about them, so Ron picked one that he and another person liked and we will be getting those printed.

White Sands Jeep Club 4x4 Car Show in November. This needs to have lot of participation by the club. Things are getting set up for it. T-shirts will cost about $5 – 6 with our Logo on the front / and the sponsors on the back. Norm is heading this part up. Looking at selling the T-shirts for $12-14. Jeep club members will be the judges for the event. Our vehicles will not be judged except as a possible peoples choice award. We are still looking for a location. Of course Jay had to interject that this will fail just like everything the club has done in the past (past meaning over 5 years ago), that we will get no club participation like every event, that we/ he will get sued over it, that he want’s nothing to do with it, etc. etc. etc….

Cherokee Project – We will be working on the mechanical aspects of the Jeep and then getting the body ready for painting. Chris is working on getting the headliner repaired. The current plan is to get the Cherokee ready and then raffle it off at next years WSJC 4x4 show. We will be setting up 1 day a month to get the Jeep ready. This will be a club event. Of course Jay had to loudly proclaim that this plan will fail, that no one will participate, that it is a waste of time, that it is a waste of money, that he won’t be involved at all because he always gets stuck with doing things because no one wants to do anything, etc. etc. etc……..

October Events:
30th September – Charity Car Wash at Milton Dodge The car wash netted $301. Good turn out from the club for the event. We even washed a green car that was actually white. And just so that we don’t show favoritism towards Jeeps, we actually washed a black hummer H2.

21st – Cherokee day. The new tires and wheels are on, most of the little dents have been fixed. All the moldings, flares and roof rack are off the outside. We pulled the headliner and are getting it over to chris to be redone. The wasp nests have been cleaned out without to many injuries, though the rumor of a few people screaming like girls and running was mentioned, no names though. Ask Shane about being a turtle next time you see him.

New Business:
Business cards are being made for the cost of $60/ 1000.

We are shooting for the 2nd week of December for the car show/ swap meet. We will be doing plaques and trophy’s for the event.

November Events:
27-29 October – Marsh Mt. Trip. Cost is $40/ Trail Jeep passengers are free. Let Dwayne know he is leaving on Friday Morning. Dwayne has more information.

11th – Cherokee/ Ramp work day. Meet at the waffle house (across from Home depot/ walmart) in P-ridge at 8:30.

18th – Munson Ride. Meet at Texas Road House in Milton. Meet at 9:00, roll at 9:30. Dwayne will be leading as passenger.
