Welcomed Visitors:

Treasurer's Report:
Treasurer's Report was reviewed. We wrote the check to Children’s Home Society. They were very appreciative for our donations to their organization. Ed also has T-shirts and windshield logo’s if you want any.

Reviewed minutes from previous meeting.

Old Business:
Ed has acquired a 4x4 cherokee with out an engine. The interior is in better condition than our current charity project, so the plan is to swap over the interiors.

The club expressed it’s sincere appreciation to Mike Burtt for all the plaque work he did for us. Mike is leaving the area and moving to Oklahoma City soon.

The 2nd annual club charity car show is tentatively scheduled for the 6th of October.

Keep thinking about where we would like to do a spring camping trip.

March Events:
3rd – Marsh Mountain Trip. This was a good ride. There was some very interesting stucks, much to the embarrassment of the stuckee.

17th – Cherokee work day. The Cherokee is coming along nicely. The rear brakes are complete, and the final sand is done, so it’s ready for the paint shop.

24th – Charity car wash at Milton Dodge. We raised almost $300 from the car wash. The rumor is that the women did all the washing. The notion was raised to have a topless car wash, the reminder of the beach picture quickly killed that idea.

New Business:
Mike and Pepper Burtt attended their last meeting. We voted Mike as the 2007 member of the year for all of his hard work for the club. We sent him away with a conglomeration of broken jeep parts and a White Sands plaque. Of course, not to let the Grayrock ride incident die without one last shot, the cake featured a jeep getting pulled by a tow truck.

Everyone was reminded that the Freshwater fishing pass (good for 1 year from date) for Eglin is only a little more expensive than the range pass (good only from Oct 1 – Sep 30). You will need this for any Eglin rides.

The club voted and approved an award for the member who attends the most club events and meetings. They will receive a check for $200 good towards their next major event. i.e. grayrock, marsh mt, Tellico, or similar.

We also voted a 2 category award for “Most Stuck” and “Best Stuck” of the year. The winners will split the pot. Stuck is classified as any time you need assistance getting out, using your own winch does constitute stuck to level the playing field for the non winch jeeps. Tearing up the landscape just to avoid being stuck not only is against “tread lightly” but makes the club look bad. So if your stuck just cough it up, a $1 is cheaper than a new driveshaft. If you get stuck you will have to pay $1 to the kitty. This is really on your honor style system, but we all know that the club will point your stuck out to the rest of us. Most stuck is just a simple addition (though we know the possible winner in this category). Best stuck will be voted on at the end of the year at the Christmas party.
