Stuck Fund: On the February 23 the
following people got stuck and paid money to the stuck fund: John
Kittrell, Norm Kressler. Some say that Norm should have been 2 dollars a
minute. George Hooper also paid his dollar for getting stuck.
Old Business:
- News on the Cherokee. Dwayne brought up the
subject of what is left to do with the Cherokee. We need a
poster/banner and brochures made up to advertise what we as a club
has done so far. Information about the price of tickets, before and
after pictures and drawing date should be placed on the
poster/banner. Dwayne mentioned that our car show is in November
and this is the time for the drawing.
John and Perry mentioned
that most work can be completed in a weekend. The jeep needs a radio,
general cleaning and minor touchups.
March 8, 2008 was
decided for the next Cherokee work day. The Cherokee is currently at Ed
Stork’s home.
- Ed mentioned that the club should sell the
tickets at $10.00 a tickets and sell 1000 tickets. Motion set
before the club and passed to sell the tickets for $10 with a limit
of 1000 tickets.
- Ed discussed about the ride/meet on Feb 9 with
5 members showing up for a gathering of various cars/trucks and
jeeps. One member mentioned that this would be a good time to pass
out flyers.
- The charity of choice was reviewed with the
money from the Cherokee to go to Children’s home society and car
washes to go to Sunshine Down’s Syndrome’s group.
- John Kittrell was ride leader for the Feb 23
ride. There were 10 vehicles that showed up for the ride. Jeff Mack
(land owner) decided not to charge so the club got to play for free.
There were was fun had by all with plenty of red clay and gullies.
